Better Environment, Better Tomorrow.
We Strive to keep the oceans blue, the planet green, and the animals safe. Let us nurture nature to have a nurturing future
Our Planet is Changing!
During the twentieth century, the average temperature of the Earth increased by around 2 degrees Fahrenheit.
Two degrees may seem insignificant, yet it is a rare occurrence in our planet’s recent history. The global average temperature is consistent over extended periods of time, according to the climatic record preserved in tree rings, ice cores, and coral reefs. Furthermore, modest temperature changes result in massive changes in the ecosystem.
Climate Change
Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Climate change threatens people with food and water scarcity, increased flooding, extreme heat, more disease, and economic loss. Even if efforts to minimize future warming are successful, some effects will continue for centuries. These include sea-level rise, and warmer, more acidic oceans. Therefore the fight against climate change is a long process that requires a well-outlined process and objectives in line with all set statutes. Curbing climate change is central to the delivery of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2063 of the Africa we want.
The Effects of Climate Change
Our environment has already been affected by global climate change. Polar ice caps have receded, ice on rivers and lakes is broken up earlier, plant and animal habitats have significantly changed, and trees have begun to bloom earlier.
Sea ice loss, rapid sea level rise, and longer, more intense heat waves are all effects that experts anticipated would happen as a consequence of global climate change.
Scientists are confident that global temperatures will continue to climb for decades to come, owing in major part to greenhouse gas emissions caused by human activity.
Environment protection seeks to promote economic growth, responsible production and consumption, social inclusion, and the preservation or improvement of livelihoods while at the same time ensuring environmental sustainability. So to protect the environment we have to be put the fight against climate at the forefront. Riding on Kenya’s big four agenda: food security, affordable housing, universal health care, manufacturing, and job creation advocacy for sustainability is going to be critical. The agenda will ensure an ordinary Kenyan is employed or has a reliable source of livelihood, owns a home, has enough food, and can access universal health care. Therefore, to build the fight against climate change, socio-economic developments must be managed to reduce environmental and ecosystem degradations.
The fight against climate change can be achieved by stabilizing GHG emissions, reducing emissions by 2/3 by 2050, and improving energy conservation and efficiency. Finally, it will be critical for all parties to adhere to set regulations including the COP26 agreements if the fight against climate change is to have an impact.
